Is summer really over in Cyprus? ☀️🍂
October has begun – but there is still no sign of real autumn in Cyprus!
While the forests in Northern Europe are turning colorful and the first snowflakes have already fallen in Great Britain, we continue to enjoy warm days and balmy evenings on the sunny island.

Last year, October brought early rain and many clouds. This time it looks different: Even if individual showers are possible next week, one thing above all awaits us this weekend - plenty of sun and pleasantly mild temperatures. However, a faint indication that summer is slowly waning is already noticeable.
🌞 Nicosia:
The capital is bright blue. During the day, the thermometer climbs to 29–30 °C, but feels more like 33 °C on Friday and Saturday. By Sunday, the humidity will drop, which will make for clearer and more pleasant air. At night, the temperature drops to 17-19 °C – perfect for finally sleeping without air conditioning and letting in fresh air through the open window.

🌊 Limassol & Larnaca:
On the south coast, it remains similarly warm with 28–29 °C per day. On Saturday, a slight sultriness makes you long for a breeze from the sea. Towards Sunday it will be more pleasant and the conditions much milder.

🌅 Paphos:
Here the cooling is noticeable. On Friday, a fresh breeze blows, ideal for a walk along the harbor. Temperatures: 27 °C on Friday, 29 °C on weekends. Saturday will be a bit more humid, Sunday will be drier and clearer.

🏖 Ayia Napa & East Coast:
Perfect beach days with 27-29 °C during the day and 19-20 °C at night. The weekend will remain sunny throughout. Light winds make it exciting for sailors and surfers – but swimmers should stay close to the coast.

⛰ Troodos Mountains:
If you want to feel the autumn, head to the mountains. Here you can expect clear days with 18–21 °C and cool nights of 8–9 °C. Ideal for hiking, camping or stargazing - and the unmistakable scent of pine trees in the air.

👉 Rain is expected from next week. But overall, Cyprus is gliding gently into autumn – sunny, warm and relaxed. A golden start to October!
Tips for the weekend
Time - correctly: The midday heat is still intense – it's better to plan excursions in the morning or late afternoon.
- Coastal rule: Always stay close to the shore when swimming, especially when the wind picks up.
- Mountain feeling: At night in the Troodos below 10 °C - don't forget warm clothes!
- Hydration: Even in cooler air, make sure you drink 2-3 litres of water per day.
- Picnic time: Sunday, when the humidity subsides, parks and promenades are perfect for a relaxing outdoor experience.
