Elon Musk: "The EU should be abolished"
Elon Musk has reacted clearly to the multi-million fine imposed by the EU against his platform X. In one article, he explained that the European Union should be "dissolved" and that full state decision-making power must return to the individual member states – only in this way can governments really represent their citizens.
The trigger was a fine of 120 million euros that the EU Commission imposed on X. According to the Commission, the company had violated key transparency requirements, in particular with regard to the presentation and role of the verification marks, which could easily be misunderstood by users as proof of authenticity.
He did not say whether Musk will take legal action against it. Instead, he pinned his demand for the abolition of the EU at the top of his profile so that it would remain permanently visible. In other posts, he again sharply attacked the Union, accusing it of restricting freedom of expression and even demanding that the US examine possible sanctions against Brussels.
